MEET OUR COACHES!!!

Our coaches are more than basketball instructors - they are mentors who pour into each player’s life with wisdom, encouragement, and a love for Christ. Their goal is to help our girls grow not only as athletes, but as young women of faith and integrity.

    • BSM HS Track and Field Coach (4 years)

  • “My goal as a coach is to foster an environment of confidence, competitiveness, and fearless goal setting. Basketball is a game of runs and I strive to give the players I work with the mental strength and tools to get through adversity and celebrate success. I enjoy building a team centered around the players and the skills and personalities they bring to the table. At the end of the day, I measure my success as a coach in the joy I see in my players and their growth.” -Brooke Stanley

Head Coach

  • Chuck has lived in Minnesota his entire life spending his high school years playing basketball and baseball. He graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University with Bachelor of Science degrees in Elementary Education and Physical Education and minors in Biology and Health. He began coaching at 17 years old, spending the next 9 summers coaching baseball to boys 5 years old through 18 years old at various levels. His basketball coaching career began when his oldest daughter was in 4th grade and hasn’t stopped since, coaching in the Armstrong and Orono youth programs for 16 years, at Benilde-St. Margaret’s High School for 20 years, Avail Academy High School for 4 years, and AAU basketball for 15 years – two of those coaching with Brooke. He also coached soccer for 17 years - ages 5 through 18 years old. Chuck taught elementary school in Richfield for 5 years and is currently employed by Federal Industries, a packaging company in Plymouth. Away from basketball, he enjoys shooting family, event, and wedding photography and videography, bike riding, and taking long walks with his Golden Retrievers. Chuck and his wife Sharon live in Plymouth and have three grown daughters and seven grandchildren.

  • In progress…

  • “My attitude to the team is we are one going forward – when one scores, we all score. We play for the love of the game, the fun of the game, and the friendships that happen because of the game. The game is really the “vehicle” for everything else to happen and it is the life-lessons, positive memories, and togetherness of the team that always becomes what is remembered most. Having said that, we want to compete at the highest level that we have been gifted to compete at each practice and game – we want to play with fun, with focus, and fearlessness. It is a totally enthusiastic, passionate, positive, and fun atmosphere that carries us forward. The overriding goals are for each girl to have a great high school experience, to grow their relationships together, develop as basketball players and teammates, learn the life lessons the game will teach, and strive to reflect Christ every step of the way.”

    - Chuck Goldman

One Team, One Mission, One Heart

North Light Nova is more than just a group of athletes; we are a family bound by faith, teamwork, and purpose. As a Christian homeschool program, we play not only to compete, but to glorify God through every pass, rebound, and victory.

Each player brings unique gifts to the court, yet together we move as one - encouraging one another, lifting each other up, and striving to grow in both skill and spirit. Whether in practice, in games, or in prayer, we stand united in faith, friendship, and purpose.

Our Girls Varsity Basketball team is more than individual teammates filling up a roster. Together we are one. Every game, every practice, every prayer, we play for something greater than ourselves. We are one family, one heart, and one body in Christ - playing to honor Him in all we do.

“So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”

- Romans 12:5
